Este ano incluíram uma nova prova, Hopu Mano que está sendo disputada por 5 competidores. O vencedor será declarado Tangata Manu - Homem Pássaro.

This is the Tau Ki Te Huri competition, in which each competitor has three chances to hit their target: three banana tree trunks.
This year a new competition, Hopu Mano, was added, and 5 competitors are disputing it. The champion will be declared the Tangata Manu – the bird man.
Lembro novamente que isso não é feito para turistas, faz realmente parte dos costumes e está no espírito de todos.
I’d like to say once again that this is not something made for show to entertain the tourists, it is really part of their traditions and it’s part of their spirit.
